Superintendent Dr. Estrella and NPS hosted a very special guest on Monday, May 16, Dr. Miguel Cardona, US Secretary of Education! Secretary Cardona sat down at Ponus Ridge STEAM Academy for an interview with MSNBC’s Symone Sanders, which will air in full this weekend. He also enjoyed a lively conversation with Mrs. Aaron’s First Grade students in their classroom at Jefferson Marine Science Elementary School. Dr. Cardona finished his visit to Norwalk by speaking to faculty and staff at both schools before they began an afternoon of professional learning. We appreciate Dr. Cardona’s support of our students, staff, and schools!
